TEE·BO·DANS
TEE·BO·DANS is a collective of talented dancers brought together to perform the choreographic work of Stephanie Thibeault. Our first project, "State of Being," started with a research grant from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, allowing choreographer Stephanie Thibeault to do the necessary research to choreograph and direct the project. From there, it was decided that this body of work should be presented nationally, in larger dance communities, like those in Baltimore/DC and New York City. As dancers were invited to take part in the project, the goals and benefits of this project became even more clear. Through this project:
1) Talented Arkansas dancers will perform this work in Baltimore and NYC!
2) Our dancers will network with dancers and dance makers in other dance communities.
3) We are building ties with the larger dance world that benefit the dancers involved in this project, as well as other dancers at UALR and throughout Arkansas.
After a successful online fundraising campaign through the non-profit organization, USA Projects, we are now able to tour this project to Baltimore, MD this coming June (2013). With just a little more, we will be able to include a NYC performance of "State of Being" as well.
